The Question of Himanshu Kumar , leading Gandhian to Adityanath, the CM of Uttar Pradesh
Here is a post by Himanshu Kumar in response to the recent statement of Ajay Kumar Bisht aka Adityanath:
My great grandfather Pandit Bihari Lal Sharma was in the education department.
He knew only Urdu and Persian.
When he was to be promoted, his lack of knowledge of English language became an obstacle.
When the British officer told him that if he knew English, he could promote him.
My great grandfather left the office and went straight to the bookstore, bought an English book and studied it all night. In the morning he wrote an application in English and gave it to the officer and he got promoted.
My great grandfather had written a book titled 'Ajeeb Khwab' on religious harmony.
My great grandfather was an Arya Samaji and he was the first disciple of Maharishi Dayanand in Uttar Pradesh.
My great grandfather founded the Arya Samaj in Uttar Pradesh along with Maharishi Dayanand.
He was the first General Secretary of the Uttar Pradesh Arya Samaj.
My great grandfather did not know Hindi or Sanskrit, he only knew Urdu and Persian.
Was my great grandfather a fanatic or a Maulvi?
Yogi ji says that by studying Urdu a person becomes a Maulvi or a fanatic.
I don't understand how?
