Eradicating the accursed enterprise of creating a fake identity in the name of secular word Hindu/Sindhu, a river through deification of cows

Hello all, In the context of the seminar on “Harnessing the Potential of Socio-Economic Empowerment in India @Protected, Safe and Sustainable Investments", I have called for eradicating the accursed enterprise of creating a fake identity in the name of secular word Hindu/Sindhu, a river through deification of cows which is manifested through policies in this regard. This is vital in order to attract tourists and investors in India.

About the Seminar

There is an increasing focus on the implementation of plans and policies toward achieving UNSDGs and the economic empowerment of individuals in society. The growth and development-oriented initiatives which are under the supervision of regulatory institutions are astounding. However, the beneficiaries are prone to face stiff interfaces with the disruptive world of schemes, technologies, and market manipulators.

The vulnerability of individuals with context to their savings and investments is irrespective of demographic factors; but this is higher amongst youth, women, and senior citizens. Some of the reasons are including- a lack of financial knowledge and awareness, a plethora of information, proliferation of numerous BFSI Sector products, greed to grow faster, digital financial illiteracy, etc. Such adversities lead to the actions and outcomes of project implementing agencies being deflated and hence it calls an advance preparation and awareness for counter actions to resolve for growth.

In this regard, the Financial Stability and Development Council (FSDC), a Standing Committee headed by Hon’ble Union Finance Minister has inter alia recognized the importance of financial education and investor awareness and has adopted a policy document “National Strategy for Financial Education”. It has been desired that all national financial regulators such as RBI, SEBI, IRDA and PFRDA, IEPFA, and their stakeholders should make concerted efforts for a financially empowered India through financial education and investor awareness.

In this background and keeping in mind its mandate for protecting the interests of the society, ASSOCHAM National Council for Social Inclusion and Affirmative Action along with Association for Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) is organizing an Interactive Virtual Seminar on “Harnessing the Potential of Socio-Economic Empowerment in India @Protected, Safe and Sustainable Investments” from 11.00 am to 1.00 pm on 10th October 2022 which is during the World Investors Week i.e. WIW-2022 under the aegis of SEBI and International Organisation for Securities Exchange Commission (IOSCO) and IEPF Authority.
